    Insulin-like Growth Factor I and II (IGF-I & IGF-II): IGF I & II are the most abundant growth factors in colostrum. They affect how the body uses fat, protein, and sugar.     Lactose is present in trace amounts in colostrum. During the first 24 hours of production, the colostrum has the lowest levels of lactose.     Our ancient ancestors intuitively knew the benefits of bovine colostrum for newborns, as well as for people of all ages. Through modern studies, we now have the science to prove that bovine colostrum may provide us with greater benefits than human colostrum. This is due to a difference in the placenta of humans and cows. The human placenta allows the passage of immunoglobulin G (IgG), which is responsible for establishing systemic immunity, from mother to fetus. This means that a human baby is born with an immune system that is ready to defend the newborn against infection.

    The placenta of the cow, however, does not allow the passage of IgG from mother to fetus. When the calf is born, it is completely unprotected from infection and needs the IgG in the mother’s colostrum to survive. Thus, bovine colostrum contains predominantly IgG (over 85% of total immunoglobulin) while human colostrum contains predominantly immunoglobulin A (IgA), which is designed for local immunity and is intended to help the newborn’s immune system handle infections locally in the gut rather than establish systemic immunity. IgG, because it can pass immunity to a specific pathogen (disease-causing microorganism) from one individual to another, is therefore of much more benefit to humans past the stage of infancy.

    MODERN DAY COLOSTRUMS

Cows produce more colostrum than the calf will drink, so there is an abundance to be shared and we are not taking anything away from the calf.

    Our Grass Fed Colostrum is 100% whole and intact, exactly as designed by nature, nothing added... nothing removed. With such an elegant design, it makes me wonder why some modern-day manufactures fractionate their colostrum.     Our Grass Fed Colostrum is a whole food dietary supplement that provides Grass Fed Colostrum within the ultimate food matrix. This supplement should be taken without food (even though it technically is food). The suggested use is 6 capsules a day or as directed by a healthcare professional — for added support, the dose can be doubled or tripled. If consuming more than six capsules at once, the doses should be separated by at least three hours.

    As it relates to little ones, our Ancestral Supplements are 100% pure and they're encapsulated in 100% pure bovine gelatin. Since we do not add any stearates, lubricants, binders, fillers or flow agents, (except with our Bone Marrow; see Other Ingredients), our products contain all the naturally nourishing properties of grass-fed organs as they exist in harmony with nature. In other words, if you would consider preparing homemade liver and onions (or) a homemade organ meat paté for a little one, our supplements would be no different — it's just food, whole-food at that!

    In fact, many of our customers give our products to their babies, toddlers and teens... many email and post reviews about it, including one that notes that she gives her kid half the recommended dose for an anemia-related issue. Why Not Traditional Heat Extraction?When a botanical is boiled in water or extracted in alcohol or other solvent, the constituents of the botanical are released from the fiber that contains them and are dissolved into the liquid medium. The resulting “tea,” or paste is highly assimilable. This is much easier to consume because the material has been “reduced” to a much smaller volume and yet the potency is higher. Without the extraction, the body would have to do a digestive “extraction” of the materials bound to the fiber, adding much stress to our GI tract. Since we do not have the digestive tract of a ruminate, this “extraction” method is not very effective, nor is it efficient. BUT, the downsides of traditional heated extraction include: It is not suitable for extracting heat sensitive substances such as protein, amino acids, essential oils and enzymes. Starch and saccharides of low molecular weight can gelatinize and become cohesive under heat, preventing the effective release and extraction of active ingredients. Substances with no or few pharmacological effects can be released simultaneously. The heated process accelerates the oxidation process. It can result in polymerization and decomposition of active constituents.     Wild Red Reishi Drops Reishi Mushroom (Ganoderma lucidum) is currently recognized as one of the most important and beneficial tonic herbs in the world. We are fortunate to have a limited but steady supply of truly wild Reishi mushroom. These mushrooms are not planted or wildcrafted by humans. They grow where they will, where they are perfectly suited. The growing environment is extremely harsh (alpine). As a result, they develop great power. Dragon Herbs does mix mushrooms collected from various ecological niches on Changbai Mountain, so that the wildness of the Reishi is accentuated. Furthermore, the mushrooms are of course not all of the same age. Some are “Grandfather Reishi,” some are middle aged, and some are young (though we only use mature Reishi fruiting bodies in our product). This age difference does mean that the chemical constituents in different mushrooms will be different. We, of course, consider this to be a benefit because it expands the range of phytochemicals.     Third bottle of this I’ve had, the best colostrum out there. It tastes so delicious out of the capsule, even one pill somehow manages to improve digestion, give my skin a bit of a glow and give me a mood boost! I don’t know what it’s doing to have that effect on my mood, lowering inflammation in the gut or immune enhancing I don’t know, but it’s also stimulating and hard to sleep for me if I take too much, so I have to go slow.     Ancestral Supplements - Grass Fed Natural Desiccated Thyroid 180caps 500mg

    I will have to check again next month to make sure it is this medicine that helped me and shocked me. My TSH on October 16 was just over 100. On that day I started with 6 capsules a day, I got tested today, and my TSH is 12, that is a massive drop within 2 months. I took adrenal with this at 4 caps a day. I never noticed anything physically, like less brain fog, more energy....although my toilet is much better. I will report back in another 2 months, I should have normal TSh range. :) Along with taking this medicine, I have done Ujjai pranayam, a special way of breathing for 10 mins a day, and general exercise and I drank a teaspoon of coriander in warm water every other day.
